MRS. HERMAN STARK SR. DIED ON SATURDAY

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. H. Rostad on Monday, Dec. 22, from the Griebenow funeral parlors for Mrs. Herman Stark Sr., 60 years of age, who passed away suddenly on Saturday, Dec. 20. Burial was made in the family lot in the Riverside cemetery.

Anna Caroline Pankow was born on November 24, 1881, in Rock Island, Ill. After her marriage to Herman Stark they made the home in that city for one year, then moved to their present farm home north of Withee, where they have resided the past 32 years.

She is survived by her husband and five children, three sons, Allen at home, Herman of Owen, and Louis of Withee; and two daughters, Mrs. Arliegh (Martha) Melbinger of Cicero, Ill., and Helen, at home; one brother, Carl Pankow of Withee; and five grandchildren. She had a host of sincere friends.

Those attending the funeral from away were Mr. and Mrs. Arleigh Melbinger of Cicero, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Louis P. Stark and Mr. and Mrs.> William Krueger of Rock Island, Ill.,; and Mrs. Maraget Schlotfeldt of Chicago.

Pallbearers at the service were John Hemminger, Wallace Woods, Ray Slock, Ernest Ebert, and Morris Martin.
