HEART ATTACK FATAL TO S. M. MUNSON, FRIDAY

Samuel McCoy Munson, a resident of this community for the pas 38 years passed away quickly and quietly at his farm home northwest of Withee Friday morning, Oct. 10, when suddenly stricken with a heart attack. He was 87 years of age at the time of his calling but despite his years had enjoyed an active life up to the time of his death.

Samuel McCoy Munson was born April 1, 1854, at Salem. In 1903, he moved with his family to Withee where he spent the remainder of his life.

He was married to Edith Minnis in 1860 at Salem. Five children were born to this union, they are Edwin of Menomonie, Laurence who is living on the farm home at Withee. Minnis of Withee, Cleo Reese of Marshfield, and Mildred Holmes of Duluth, Minn.

Besides the above named family, Mr. Munson leaves four sisters, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Munson, and one daughter, Mrs. William Wood, by a previous marriage.

Funeral services were conducted from the home on Monday, Oct 13, with the Rev. J. H. Rostad of Owen officiating. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery.
