Funeral services for Peter Buddinger were held on Monday from the Gilbertson funeral home in Granton and at the Methodist church at York Center. Interment took place at the York Center Cemetery. He died on Friday at his home in Granton. Peter Buddinger was born at Mt. Carmel, Pa., in 1866. In 1889 on April 13 at Wausakee he was married to Miss Bertha Luebke of Manitowoc. She died in 1891. There were two children from this marriage, Mrs. Marie Kubat of Neillsville, who survives and Bertha, who died in infancy. On August 20, 1892, he was married to Minnie Luebke. Nine children were born to them: Mrs. James White of Loyal, Mrs. Victor Krejci of Granton, William of Levis, George of the town of York, Mrs. Hugo Trimberger of Granton, Louis of Colby. Three other children died in infancy. As a young man he worked as a farmer and teamster in logging camps in Marinette county. In 1885 he moved to Clark county and resided on his farm in the town of York until he was forced to retire due to ill health. For the past ten years has lived in the village of Granton. His death was due to hardening of arteries and high blood pressure. Surviving are his widow, four daughters, three sons, 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren and two sisters. Five brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
