Mrs. Ella A.Graves, for 33 years a resident of the town of York, died at her home at York Center late yesterday afternoon after suffering for a short time from complication of diseases. Born in Brothertown, Calumet county, on April 5, 1859, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Abraham Shell, she was married at Brothertown on January 29, 1887 to Hubert G. Graves, who survives her. They lived at Brothertown, with the exception of two years spent in New York state, until 1901, when they came to Clark county and settled on the farm in the town of York which has been their home since. Surviving relative include the husband, a daughter, Miss Ethel, a son, Dwight, all at home; and a sister, Mrs. E. J. Bolton, Chippewa Falls. Funeral services will be held at the home at 1:30 p.m. and at the York Center Methodist Episcopal church at 2 p.m., on Monday, the Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. Burial will take place at the York Center cemetery.
