TRANSCRIBED TEXT:

Died, Ollie Humiston, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jesse Humiston, aged 16 years and 5 months, at her home in the town of York, Monday evening, of consumption. The angel of death has visited this family for the first time, and through the quick destroying agency of life, consumption, plucked the prettiest rose from this family tree. Olive was one of the sweetest young ladies of her town with a disposition as amicable as she was handsome, buth death has no regard for beauty or purity; it claims all alike, oft times selecting the pure white lill first and withering it to dust. Miss Humiston was a bright young lady of good education and high standing in society, loved by her many acquaintances, She had but recently commenced to teach school at Spokeville where she remained up to within one week of the time of her death. The funeral service was held at the York Center church Wednesday, and the remains interred in the York Center cemetery, Rev. Hoffman, of Loyal, officiating.
