Once more we are called upon to perform the sad duty of reporting the death of an old neighbor. The spirit of Mrs. Esther Livingston took its flight last week Tuesday to the great beyond, after a lingering illness of several months duration. Death resulted from a complication of diseases. Mrs. Livingston was born in Canada on April 30, 1840. In 1860 she was married to Samuel Livingston and after her marriage was a resident of Sheboygan County for 13 years. In 1873, she came to Clark County settling at this place where she has resided ever since. She was the mother of four children, two sons and two daughters. They are: (Bessie) Mrs. W. H. Turner, William and Fay of this place and (Ella) Mrs. E. H. Lindsley of Allegan, Michigan. One sister, Mrs. Sophronia Bassett of Loyal and a brother, William J. Windsor of Tacoma, Washington; also survive her. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago. Her funeral took place last Friday forenoon from the M.E. Church, Rev. E. R. Kildow conducting the ceremonies. Interment took place in the York Center Cemetery.
