David McKenzie passed away in death at his home two miles north of here last Sunday morning at the age of 80 years and 15 days, of cancer in the throat. Mr. McKenzie was a resident of this town for a number of years and was a dutiful husband, a loving father and a kind neighbor. His gentle and loving disposition won the respect of all with whom he came in contact. This was demonstrated by the large concourse of people that assembled at the church to pay him the last tribute of respect. Deceased leaves two sons, James and David of this place and five daughters, Mrs. Al Garvin of this place; Mrs. William Garvin, Mrs. Phillip White and Mrs. Flynn of Loyal, and Mrs. Albert Dunn of Beaver, to mourn his departure. His wife preceded him in death a few years ago. The funeral took place last Tuesday in the M.E. Church.
