Pallbearers for the funeral services for Walter H. Rowe, held Saturday afternoon at the York Center Methodist Church were: Herbert Borde, Leland Bandelow, Elmer, Lynn and Byrl Rowe, and Dale Fulwiler, all nephews of Mr. Rowe. Flower ladies were nieces of Mr. Rowe: Mrs. Irma Pepper, Mrs. Fern Borde, Mrs. Isla Bandelow and Mrs. Glyde Graves. Mrs. William Schmidtke and Miss Gertrude Holmes sang, and Miss Ruth Pietenpol accompanied at the piano. Rev. Lee Holmes of Loyal officiated. Arrangements were in charge of the Georgas funeral home. Those from out-of-town here for the services were: Vernon Rowe, McCleary, Washington; Glen Rowe, Milwaukee; Mr. & Mrs. William Miller, Clintonville; Mr. & Mrs. William Edens, Hardwood, Michigan; Mr. & Mrs. Dale Fulwiler and children, Iron Mountain, Michigan; Mr. & Mrs. Elmer Rowe, Bloomer; Mr. & Mrs. Byrl Rowe, Abbotsford; Mrs. Grace Kennedy, Chicago; Mr. & Mrs. Leland Bandelow and family, Menomonie; and Mrs. B. L. Root, Colfax. Mr. Rowe was a member of the Methodist Church. He had been a member of the Modern Woodman of America for 50 years and had served the order as counsel. He served his school district as director and was president of the York Co-op Cheese Company. Surviving are his wife, two children and four grandchildren. The children are: Mrs. Edward (Verla) Dahl and Milford Rowe of the Town of York. The grandchildren are: Mrs. William (Hazel) Miller, Clintonville; Alvin Dahl and Shirley and Donald Rowe. Two brothers also survive: Vernon of McCleary, Washington and Glen of Milwaukee.
