Funeral services were held January 11 for Robert Henry Teatz, 85, who died January 9 at this his home in the Town of York as a result of old age. Services were held from the York Center Methodist Church, with the Rev. Willard Mecklenburg of Loyal officiating. Burial was made in the York Center Cemetery. The Gilbertson Funeral Home was in charge of the services. Mr. Teatz was born November 16, 1868, in Jefferson County, and lived for 43 years in the Town of York. He engaged in farming during most of his life. He was married to Maggie Miller on April 15, 1892, in the Town of Lynn. Surviving him are a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Mabel) Voight, and a son, Royal, both of the Town of York; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Kiltz of Jefferson,; and two grandchildren. His wife, two sons and a daughter preceded him in death. Pallbearers were: Herbert Free, Ed Voight, Emil Schoenfeldt, Leo Schecklman, Steve Lepori and Newt Turner.
