Roy H. Teatz, 74, of 109 North Purdy Avenue, died at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday at the Marshfield Convalescent Center. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hansen Funeral Home, with Rev. Carmen D. Peterson officiating. Pallbearers will be Rueben Garbish, Harold Kraft, Larry Doering, Eugene Doering, Dennis Doering, and Darwin Doering. Burial will be in York Center Cemetery in Clark County. Visitation will be held at the Hansen Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today and until the time of services on Thursday. Teatz was born January 24, 1911 in Lynn, to Robert and Margaret Teatz. He grew up on a farm and attended schools in the Granton area. He was married to Adeline Fencil on December 4, 1934 in Chicago and farmed with his father until taking over the family farm which he operated until 1967. He then moved to Marshfield and had been employed at Consolidated Badger until his retirement in 1979. Survivors include two sons, James and Robert, both of Marshfield, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1966, two brothers and a sister.
