Mrs. Julia Vandeberg, 79, Seattle, Washington, died Sunday at the Olympia Nursing Home in Seattle. The body is being brought to Neillsville and funeral services are to be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the York Center Methodist Church with the Rev. Raymond Fleming, Marshfield, officiating. Burial will take place in the York Center Cemetery. Friends May call at the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville beginning Wednesday morning. Mrs. Vandeberg, the former Julia Ziemba, was born December 31, 1891, in Austria and came to the United States at an early age. She received her education in this area, and worked as a cook in restaurants. She was married on February 22, 1913, at Chicago, Illinois, to Alvin C. Vandeberg and they farmed in the York Center area from 1914 5o 1939. They moved to Niles, Illinois and her husband died there in 1948. She had lived in Washington the past 11 years. Survivors include four sons, John Vandeberg, Beaver Dam; Chester Vandeberg, Forest Park, Illinois; Clifford Vandeberg, Federal Way, Washington; and Howard Vandeberg, LaPalma, California; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Meyer, Antioch, Illinois; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son and three sisters.
