Again we are called upon to report another death this week, making five in all in a trifle over three weeks. Manley Vandeberg died Saturday morning December 31, 1904 in the Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire of septicemia. Manley had been taken there 4 weeks ago by the request of Dr. Curtiss who attended him with the hope of fully restoring him to health, but Divine Providence had made different plans it seems, as he grew steadily worse until death finally ended his suffering. His parents had been summoned there by phone on Friday and were at his bedside at the time of his death, who immediately brought his body here for interment, which took place Tuesday afternoon from the M. E. Church, Rev. J. A. Hill officiating. Manley was born June 10, 1887 and had attained the age of 17 years, 6 months and 24 days. He leaves his parents, two brothers and two sisters to mourn his early departure. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of all.
