Mrs. Julius Voight died in the Town of York on Wednesday, August 4, after a short illness. Mrs. Voight, whose maiden name was Caroline Louise Nitschke was born in Schlesian, Germany, January 29, 1854. She came to America in 1883, and in 1886 was married to Julius Voight. They came to Town of York 27 years ago. To Mr. & Mrs. Voight were born 6 children, four sons and two daughters, two sons and a daughter died in infancy. The three surviving children are Mrs. Martin Dankemeyer of the Town of Fremont, Edward and Reinhold Voight of the Town of York. She leaves also one step daughter, Mrs. Fred Schultz of Fall Creek, four grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, one brother, Ferdinand Nitschke of Neillsville, two sisters and one brother in Germany. She was a woman who was much respected by all who knew her. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the M.E. Church, York Center, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating.
