Mrs. Cynthia Young died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rollie Benedict, at Loyal, Wednesday morning, March 26, 1924, after an illness of eleven weeks. Cynthia Adams was born June 5, 1872, at Greenbush, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. In 1878 she came with her parents to Clark County. On June 5, 1893 she was united in marriage to Edwin P. Young, whose death occurred on May 8, 1899. A daughter, Alice L. was born to this union. With this daughter she made her home for several years. Mrs. Young lived a consecrated Christian life, having united with the Methodist church when a young girl. Her Christian life was beautiful from the beginning to its close. She was also a member of the R.N.A. and a devoted worker in the W.C.T.U. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church in York Sunday afternoon, March 30, Rev. James officiating. The many floral offerings showed the high esteem in which the deceased was held. She was laid to rest in the York Cemetery. The relatives from away who attended the funeral were Mrs. Walter Borth of Mosinee and Mrs. Gus Damon of Spencer.
