Brandt, William (1874? - 29 Jan 1947)

Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, final rites were read for William Brandt, who had passed away suddenly when stricken with a heart attack Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1947. The services were read by Rev Schedler from St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee.

Pallbearers at the service were Wm. Veurink, A. R. Martin, Louis Klabon, Ray Missling, Adolph Cizik, and August Meinhardt.

William Brandt was 72 years of age and had lived on a farm in the vicinity southwest of Withee, Clark County, Wis. for 30 years. Practically all of his life had been spent in the vicinity of Wihtee after coming to this country from his native Germany when a youth of 14 years.

He lived at Glenwood City for three years and the remaining fifty-five years in this community. Since his retirement from farming he had made his home for four years at the home of his sister, Mrs. Emma Bruchert at Withee.

Relatives and friends from away that attended the services were, Mrs. George Bruckschlager, Hemet, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. L. Brandt, Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Buss, Clintonville, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Kuhnert, Wausau, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bokath, Rib Lake.
