Sturgeon, Cora (29 JAN 1883 - 31 Jul 1946)

Word of the passing away of Cora Sturgeon came as a shock to her family and large number of friends , both in Owen and Withee, Clark County, Wis., where she had resided for the past 63 years. Only two days previous to her passing away at the Marshfield Hospital yesterday morning, she was enjoying a visit with many of her friends as she walked up town and shopped. Her sudden death was due to an attack of pneumonia.

The Rosary will be said at 8:15 Friday evening at the Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Holy Rosary Church in Owen at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. Father Brockman will officiate and interment will be made in the Riverside Cemetery.

Cora Sturgeon was born on Jan. 29, 1883, at Withee. All of her life had been spent in this community, where through the fine qualities of womanhood, which she always exhibited, she gained for her self the respect and love of numerous friends.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. S. L. Meek of Bellingham Wash, and Theo of Owen, and a brother Sonnie, also of Owen, besides a host of friends.
