Sorensen, Peter (1859 - 17 Augl 1947)

Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, funeral services were conducted from the Danish Lutheran Church at Withee for Peter Sorenson, who had succumbed to an illness while residing at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kai Hansen at Minneapolis, Sunday, Aug. 17, 1947. Rev. L. C. Bundgaard officiated at the final rites and burial was made in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers at the service were: Arnold Rasmussen, Alfred Frost, Clevit Frost, Thorvald Stigsen, Emil H. Hansen and George Sorensen. Flower girls were his six granddaughters.

Surviving are three sons, Axel and Sig, Withee, and Ernest, Chicago, and four daughters, Mrs. Kai (Thyra) Hansen, Mrs. Andrew (Dagny) Almind and Mrs. Neils (Betty) Nielsen, all of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Herluf (Ellen) Nielsen, Marine, Minn. There are 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
