MARVIN NIELSEN BURIED IN INDIANA

Marvin Christian Nielsen, originally of this community and who still shared the love and friendship of many persons residing here was laid to rest at Fort Wayne, Indiana, a week ago where he had passed away at his home in that city on September 27th, 1947. He had been in poor health for many months and his death came after a long illness.

Marvin Christian Nielsen was born on December 22, 1898, at Withee, Wisconsin where he spent his days of youth and early manhood. On December 21, 1930, he was united in marriage to Mabel Smith of Owen and shortly thereafter moved to Indiana where they have since resided. However, they had kept close contact with their many friends and relatives here by correspondence and frequent visits.

Mourning his departure are his wife and a son Marvin, Jr.; his aged mother, Mrs. N. C. Nielsen and a sister, Mrs. H. Freitag, both of whom reside at Withee and three brothers, Clarence of Mayville, Wisconsin; Andrew of Havre, Montana, and Elmer of Big Sandy Montana.

Greetings Four Years Later,

I just searched on my name and hit your obituary. I believe the gentleman who died is my great uncle as I am Elmer of Big Sandy's grandson.

My father joined the Army young and died twenty years ago so I have lost track of his family.

You are welcome to contact me.

Marvin Elmer Nielsen, Jr.
