Long, Mary (1820? - 25 Jan 1906)
Mrs. Mary Long died Jan. 25, 1906 at the home of her son Frank in Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., in the 86th year of her age. The remains were brought her for burial Sunday and services were conducted in the M. E. Church, of which she was a devoted member. The interment was in the Mentor Cemetery, where he husband is buried. A large number gathered at the church to pay a last tribute to the memory of one whose long life had been one of sacrifice and help for others.
Mrs. Long was one of the early settlers of this vicinity and was a woman highly respected by all. She has been blind for some years, but was a patient sufferer in her affliction. Three sons are left to mourn her death: Frank of Neillsville; Gideon of Greenwood; and Columbus of Rock Island, Ill.
