Woodford, Thomas D. (1856? - 30 Apr 1906)

Monday evening the body of Thomas D. Woodford was found lying in a calf stable on his brother's farm two miles north of Humbird, Clark County, Wis. He had been gone from the house since morning, but as it was customary for him to spend a day with neighbors, no notice was taken of his absence. While passing the stable in the late afternoon, Mrs. Geo. Woodford, his sister-in-law, found the man dead. Help was summoned and later an inquest was held before Justice C. B. Travis. Dr. Murray, after an examination, pronounced death due to a disease of the heart, and thus the coroner's jury gave as their verdict. The jury was composed of C. J. Noyes, G. R. King, W. Barr, H. Gleason, W. L. Phillips, and Albert Barr.

The remains were taken to Eau Claire, where the funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Woodford was nearly 49 years old and was unmarried. During the last five years he had made his home at different times with his brother, Geo. Woodford, here, and at other times with a brother in Eau Claire. He was a native of Sauk Co., Wis.
