Grush, Hannah (26 JUL 1859 - 21 OCT 1907)
Mrs. John Grush died at the home of her daughter in Stanley, Wis. about two o'clock Monday afternoon, after many months of suffering. The remains were brought back to her former home in Houghtonburg where funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. B. C. Sills officiating, the Merrillan choir assisting in the services. The interment was in the Houghtonburg Cemetery, beside her husband, who departed this life five months ago. She leaves to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother, one son, three daughters, one brother and one sister. She bore patiently her affliction and toward the last prayed that she might go, this evidencing her resignation in the Divine will.
Miss Hannah Olson was born at Bergen, Norway, July 26, 1859, and immigrated to America at the age of thirteen, remaining for a time at Black River Falls, removing later to Pigeon Falls, on July 4, 1879, she was united in marriage at Sechlerville, to John Grush, and since resided on the farm in Houghtonburg. The last four months she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Bessie Halderson at Stanley, where she died Oct. 21, 1907.
