Campbell, Maude M. (Marriage - 28 OCT 1906)

A quiet wedding was celebrated at the M. E. Parsonage last Sunday evening at 7 o'clock, uniting in the holy bonds of matrimony Mr. Claud Eugene Russell and Miss Maude M. Campbell. The ceremony was witnessed by just a few near relatives of the young couple. Mr. and Mrs. Russell are both well known to all Humbird, Clark County, Wis. people, and their friends extend hearty congratulations. They will make their home in Humbird.

Maude Campbell was the oldest of 5 children of Ed Campbell and Carrie DeLong Campbell. The other 4 children were Arlie, Harry, Guy Edward and a daughter whose name I believe was Nettie. This was Maude's first of two marriages. There were several children of this marriage, one of which was Helene (my aunt)

Maude's second marriage was to Sam Newton, also of Humbird. There were several children of this marriage, one of which is Winnie Joos of Eau Claire

Spelling correction of Maud Newton:

Maud (should be Maude) Campbell-Russell - married in 1906 - Zene Russell - Maude and Zene had 6 children, namely, Helene, Hilliard, Kenneth, Hallan, and twins - the girl's name was Adeline, but I don't remember the boy's name (the other twin). Both Zene and the twins died during World War I with that diphtheria that was going around. Zene passed away first and then 6 months later the twins passed away.
