Rosolock, E. G. (10 Jan 1877)
E. G. Rosolock was born in Milwaukee Jan. 10, 1877, went with his parents to Minnesota in 1880, and lived there fourteen years; he next moved to La Crosse, staying five years and then came to Clark County, He was married Jan. 20, 1896 to Marguerite Rolier. They have two children. Mr. Rosolock says our reawakening is largely due to the businessmen that were here five years ago, due somewhat to the progressiveness of the farmers and also prosperity of the present age. It needs consideration by its main support, i.e. the farmers. Comparing with other towns, it is an enterprising town at the present time. Some have worked hard to make Humbird, Clark County, Wis. what it is. This makes business of Humbird good when compared with surrounding towns.

E.G. Rosolock: First Name Emil, Correct spelling of last name is Rosolack. Emil was the brother of Will and Adolph Rosolack of Humbird and Elizabeth in Lacrosse area. They were the children of Frank Rosolack. Emil was an architect. He and his wife Margarite eventually moved to the Eau Claire area and Emil worked for the Charlson Company of Eau Claire. Their two adult children, Max and Verona, also lived in Eau Claire in property adjoining Emil's and across the street from his brother Will, husband of Arlie Campbell Rosolack (my grandparents). Emil's wife, Margarie Roller was Frank Rosolack's second wife after Margarite's husband and Frank's wife died in the flu epidemic of 1918. Both the Rosolacks and the Rollers came from Posen (Posnen) Germany, now part of Poland. Many people of this area disappeared during WWII. I remember my Aunt Margarite trying unsuccessfully to communicate with her relatives after the war.
