Hein, O. M. (29 SEP 1865)

O. M. Hein was born at Watertown, Wis. Sept. 29, 1865 and came to Clark County, Wis. with his parents in 1871, He was married Feb. 5, 1896, and has one child. He attributes our reawakening to business enterprise and to the improved condition of the farming country. As to the future Humbird will improve, it has passed its childhood days. But we need factories. If we had factories that would employ many men it would help more than anything else. Of course these would have to have good brains at the head or they would not prosper. The enterprise that is going on at present is a credit; every business place is prosperous should have credit. It compares very favorably with other places. There is no surrounding town that has the business that Humbird has tat present, so Mr. Hein thinks.

Mr. Hein has held a number of town offices, having been clerk ten years, chairman two years, and a member of the board three years. For fourteen years he has been at the head of the Humbird Roller Mills. Seven years ago he built a fine new home near the depot, which is one of the best in the village.
