Miller, Arthur (7 Jan 1859)

Arthur Miller was born in Houghtonburg Jan. 7, 1859, and was married to Lilla M. Horrel, Nov. 24, 1880. They have three children. He says the reawakening of Humbird, Clark County, Wis. is due to the changes in the businessmen and the farmers changing from the grain business to stock and dairy business. He sees no reason whit it should not have its share of the trade of the surrounding country and there is no reason for it not being a good trading place. Humbird should have credit for good schools and good churches and a lot of enterprising businessmen, creamery and cheese factory. As the farmers increase the dairy business so will the town increase. This is a farmer's town and if a pickle factory or salting station could be a great help. Anyway he says, Humbird stands as high as any of the towns.
