Hafner, Mrs. Frank (? - 18 Feb 1913)
Seldom has a community been called upon to mourn with a few hours, two sadder deaths than occurred at Fairview this week. Both were exemplary young people who were highly respected by all who knew them. The first to answer the summons of the Grim Reaper was Mrs. Frank Hafner, Jr., who succumbed to blood poisoning on Tuesday night after six weeks of suffering. An operation for the removal of an abscess was performed, but it gave only temporary relief. She was a bride of only a year or so and her death is the breaking of the newly formed home. The funeral service was held at St. Joseph's Church Friday morning at nine o'clock.
