Rathbone, David E. (16 Feb 1850 - 4 Dec 1916)
David Eugene Rathbone died at his home in Felida, Wash., Monday, Dec. 4, 1916, after a severe illness of several months.
He leaves a wife and three children, James, of Exeter, New Hampshire, and Fay and Eunice at home. One son died in infancy and Fred six years ago.
Born in Erie, Pa., Feb. 16, 1850, Mr. Rathbone went to Missouri in 1868, and to Humbird, Clark County, Wis., in 1878, where on Nov. 8, 1870, he married Miss Melda Scott. In Jan. 1906, they came to Felida, where they have since made it their home.
He was an active member of the Odd Fellows, being district deputy. And past grand overseer of the Grange. He will be greatly missed at their gatherings, and by his large circle of friends.
Services were held at the M. E. Church, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. T. C. Newby. Interment took place at the Sara Cemetery with the Odd Fellows in charge.
