Agnes C. Lesar Agnes C. Lesar,
age 86, of Willard, died on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 at the
Neillsville Memorial Home. Agnes Cecelia
Lesar was born on Jan. 21, 1917, in Willard, the daughter of Frank
and Frances (Smolc) Lesar. She was raised on the family farm and
educated in the Willard area. As a young woman, Agnes moved to
Chicago and worked at a hospital that treated polio patients and
later at a maternity hospital. She returned to the Willard area in
the early 1940's to care for her mother. Agnes farmed the family
farm with her sisters until the early 1960's. She worked for the
Wedges Creek Research Farm for many years until retiring at the age
of 65. In 1973, the farm was sold, and Agnes moved to Willard, with
her sisters, where she lived until entering the nursing home in
October. 2003. Agnes was a member
of the Holy Family Catholic Church where she sang in the choir for
many years, was a member of the K.S.K.J. Lodge and the Drzuba Club.
She enjoyed craftwork and especially her flower gardens. She is survived by
many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Agnes was preceded
in death by her parents; five brothers, Frank, Joseph, Edward,
John, and Louis, Sr.; and five sisters, Frances Lesar, Mary Lesar,
Anna Lesar, and two in infancy. Funeral services
were held Monday, Jan. 12 at Holy Family Catholic Church in
Willard. Father Joseph Follmar officiated. Burial followed in the
Parish cemetery.

Gleaner Agnes Lesar Agnes C. Lesar,
86, Willard, died on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at Memorial Home,
Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan.
12, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. The Rev. Joseph
Follmar officiated. Burial was in the Holy Family Catholic
Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Erickson, Dennis Karlen, Ed Bayuk,
Mark Lesar, Donald Lesar, and Dean Lesar. Agnes Cecelia
Lesar was born on Jan. 21, 1917, in Willard, to Frank and Frances
(nee Smolc) Lesar. She received her education in the Willard area
rural schools. After her education, she moved to Chicago, where she
worked as an aide at a hospital that treated polio victims, and
then at a maternity hospital. She returned to Willard in the 1940's
to help care for her mother. She farmed with her sisters near
Willard for many years. She worked for the Wolges Creek Research
Farm until retiring at the age of 65. She moved to Willard with her
sisters after selling the farm in 1973. She lived there until
entering the nursing home in October, 2003. She was a member of
Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, and she sang in the church
choir for many years. She was a member of the KSKJ Lodge, the
Slovenska Druzba Club, and the Willard Historical Society. Her
interests included flower gardening. Survivors include
nieces and nephews. Preceding her in
death were her parents; five brothers, Frank, Joseph, edward, John,
and Louis, Sr.; and five sisters, Frances Lesar, Mary Lesar, Anna
Lesar, and two in infancy. Cuddie Funeral
