Barkley, Sara A. (Marriage - 26 JUN 1915)
Last Saturday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock Rev. G. L. Pound performed the ceremony which united in the holy bonds of wedlock Miss Sara Alice, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Barkley of this village (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.), and Mr. Ervin Hart of Granton, Clark County. The wedding occurred at the home of the bride's parents, only immediate family being present. Following the marriage a delightful wedding dinner was served, such as only a bride's mother knows how to prepare.
Mr. and Mrs. Hart went immediately to Granton, where the groom had a home already prepared for his bride, and where she entered at once upon home duties. The bride is one of Humbird's most likable young ladies, a member of the graduating class of 1915 of our schools. The groom is a former Humbird young man, but for a number of years has lived with his parents in eastern Canada. He is now employed in his uncle's meat market at Granton, but expects to enter into business for himself next spring.
Among the numerous valuable and useful gifts received by the bride from relatives and friends were silverware, china and glassware and table linens.
