Zimmerman, Mable (Marriage - 21 NOV 1916)
A very happy wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zimmerman, when their daughter Mable was united in marriage to Mr. Ernest Schlegel Tuesday, Nov. 21, 1916, at two o'clock. The bride was attended by her sister Miss Clara and the groom by his brother Herman. The bride was attired in white satin and carried a large bouquet of pin roses and white carnations. The bridesmaid was attired in white shadow lace and pale pink chiffon. The groom and his attendant were both dressed in navy blue serge.
A delicate wedding supper was served to about forty guests, which all enjoyed very heartily. Those who were in attendance from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zimmerman of Sparta, Mrs. and Mrs. John Burnett of Hixton, Mrs. Wehrsteadt of Chicago, Mrs. Gus Zimmerman and children of Merrillan. The happy couple took a short wedding trip to Sparta, where they will visit relatives. After their return they will reside on the Van Gordon farm in Garden Valley. The happy couple received many beautiful wedding gifts. The many friends of both of these young people unite in wishing them a long, happy and prosperous journey through life.
