Ida M. Schiszik, 88, of Curtiss, died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 1977
at Colonial Nursing Home in Colby.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in
Curtiss. The Rev. Roger Tellock officiated. Burial followed in Norwegian
Lutheran Cemetery, Curtiss.
Born December 13, 1888 in the town of Hoard, the former Ida Borgemoen was
married to Felix Schiszik June 22, 1913 in Curtiss. He died April 13, 1948. She
attended Midway School in the town of Hoard.
They farmed in the town of Hoard until 1953, when they moved to the village of
Curtiss. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.
Survivors are five sons, Ray of Glendale, Arizona, Allen and Norman, both of
Berwyn, Illinois, Lionel and Earl, both of Curtiss; 10 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, one grandson, five sisters and two
brothers.
