INJURED IN RUNAWAY

Last Monday afternoon at about four o’clock while Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Aselson were driving to town with their team the neck yoke strap broke in front of Colly’s store and let the pole down. The horses started at once and in front of the barber shop of W. J. Meyer they swerved to the side throwing both occupants to the ground.

Mr. Aselson seemed to be badly injured and Mrs. Aselson, who was not injured, picked him up and carried him into the barber shop and later he was taken to the office of Dr. McGonigal. He had a few bruises in the face but later was seen on the street. It is not known whether he received internal injuries.

The team ran out as far as the four corners near the John Haas farm, where they were stopped and brought back to town. The damage to the wagon was light.

Mr. Aselson on last Friday had two ribs broken while working on an edger by having a slab strike him. He was coming to town to see Dr. McGonigal, who set the ribs, when the accident occurred.
