NEARLY A SERIOUS ACCIDENT
John Goethe, while out riding with George Tesmer in his auto Monday evening, had his left hand and part of the arm severely burned near the Tucker farm in the town of Eaton. They struck a section post and damaged the car underneath.
Mr. Goethe went under the car to repair the damage and had his arm and hands saturated with gasoline and in some way it ignited from the car lamp carried by Mr. Tesmer.
The flames were promptly extinguished by Mr. Tesmer and then he gave attention to the car which had a narrow escape of being consumed by the flames.
Mr. Goethe’s burns are severe enough to lay him up for a week at least.
