Repplinger, Josephine Elizabeth (Marriage - 8 MARCH 1921)

HAPPY MARCH WEDDING

A very happy wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Repplinger, Tuesday, March 8, at 1 p. m., when, to the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Alice Fowler, their oldest daughter, Josephine Elizabeth, and William L. Staves were united in marriage. Rev. A. J. Coram officiated.

The young couple met under an arch of white trimmed with white wedding bells and green branches. On either side of the arch stood blooming calla lilies. The color scheme of green and white was carried out in all the decorations of the parlor. The dining room was decorated with blue and white streamers, and the table was most beautifully trimmed with smilax, ferns, and pink and white carnations, although the center of attraction was two large and pretty wedding cakes. One being for the newly wedded couple and the other for the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo Staves, as this day marked the 28th anniversary of their marriage.

Miss Ethel Repplinger, the bride's sister, was bridesmaid and Kenneth Staves, brother of the groom acted as best man.

The bride was very richly gowned in white satin charmeuse trimmed with beads and beaded net and wore a veil wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses, white and pink sweet peas and maiden hair ferns. The bride's maid was very daintily dressed in blue crepe de chine, trimmed with silver lace and carried a bouquet of carnations and sweet peas.

Both the groom and best man wore the conventional blue. After the ceremony the guests were served to a bountiful dinner. In the evening the guests of the day time, together with many more went to Humbird town hall where dancing was indulged in, Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Hanby furnishing the music.

Mr. and Mrs. Staves were the recipient of many beautiful and costly wedding gifts. The groom is an industrious young farmer and having rented his father's farm will reside there. The bride is well and favorably known in this community, having grown to beautiful womanhood in our midst and has made many friends, all of whom unite in extending their best wishes.
