Schacht, Henry (1877 - 27 OCT 1918)
Spanish Influenza claimed another life in this vicinity last Sunday night. Henry Schacht, a new resident in the town of Cleveland, Jackson Co., Wis., died after several days illness with the disease, aged 41 years. The deceased purchased the Waterpool place, south of Henry Schlichter's about a year ago, and recently moved onto it, coming from North Dakota. He was taken care of by Mr. Schlichter's family, and no doubt the illness, which has run through the family, was contracted in that way. Mr. Schacht was a single man, and Undertaker Kretschmer, who was called to care for the remains, had some difficulty in locating relatives. It was found that he had a father and sister living in Los Angeles, and an uncle at Chippewa Falls. The body was shipped to Chippewa Falls for burial.
