Waters, Elizabeth (22 JUN 1915 - 9 Feb 1920)
Little Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Waters, died suddenly Monday afternoon at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Free of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. Elizabeth and her little brother, Wayland, were in Neillsville the fore part of last month while their father was at Rochester for an operation, and their mother with him at the hospital. Mrs. Waters went over to bring them home two weeks ago, but both were suffering with colds. Later measles developed, and while the little son was getting along nicely, complications arose with Elizabeth, and death followed an attack of croup, almost without warning. Every care possible was given the little one, and the best medical attention obtainable administered to her, but without avail. Elizabeth was born June 22, 1915, and in her short life spread happiness all about her. A lovable, bright, happy child, who was dearly loved by all who knew her, and her taking away leaves a place vacant in the home that can never be filled.
The remains were brought here (Humbird, Clark County) Tuesday evening and taken to the home, where funeral services were held Thursday afternoon. Burial was in the Mentor Cemetery. Rev. E. D. Upson of Merrillan, officiated. The heartbroken parents have the sincerest sympathy of all in this hour of deepest sorrow.
