Janice Armstrong, age 54, of Neillsville, died Wed. Aug. 31, 2005, in the Critical Care Unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Janice Marie Armstrong was born on Dec. 30, 1950 in Clark County, WI, the daughter of Elgar and Hilda King. She attended Silver Crest School off of Sidney Ave and graduated from Neillsville High School. After graduation she attended Nurses Aide Courses and then worked as a nurse’s aide at the Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville, Wis. Janice also worked at Figi’s and as a bartender. She was united in marriage to Jerry Armstrong on Aug. 25, 1990 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville, Wis.
Surviving her are five brothers, Harry (Esther) King, of Neillsville, William King, of Berlin; Melvin King of Neillsville; Maynard (Shirley) King, of Neillsville; and Donald (Marilyn) King, of Neillsville; one sister, Carol (Gordon) Zickert, of Neillsville; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband Jerry; her parents; one brother, Eugene King and a nephew, Brad.
Funeral services for Janice were held Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor James Gordon officiated. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Casket bearers were: Hap Eddy, Curt Fleischmann, Jerry, Roger and Tim King and Todd Zickert. Honorary casket bearer was Derek Zickert.
The Gesche Funeral Home assisted Janice’s family with Funeral arrangements.
