LOYAL - JoAnn Lukes, 44, of Loyal, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at St. Michael's Hopital in Sauk Centre, Minn.

Services will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at Community/Maurina Funeral Home in Spencer. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date.

JoAnn was born Oct. 31, 1960, in Marshfield to Walter and Edith (Severson) Backus. She married Jeffery Lukes on July 5, 1996, in Loyal. She enjoyed life as shown by her hard work. She loved driving truck.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Lukes, Loyal; three children, Steven Fleischmann, Spencer, Sara Fleischmann, Crystal River, Fla., and David Saindon, Marshfield; one grandson; her parents, Walter and Edith Backus, Willard; and four brothers, William Backus, Greenwood, Les Backus, Stewartville, Minn., Jim (Jodi) Backus, Greenwood, and Bailey Backus, Spencer.
