Rajk, Louis (Suicide Attempt - 3 DEC 1932)
Louis Rajk, living near Willard (Clark Co., Wis.) and despondent because he had
accidentally wounded his cousin a month ago, tried to end his life Saturday
night by drinking iodine. He was rushed to town by Mr. Podobnik, where Dr.
Gaillardett pumped the posion from his stomach and he is reported to be out of
danger.
Louis accidentally shot his cousin Stanley Rajk with a .22 caliber rifle, which
the boys were cleaning, hitting him in the abdomen. Stanley was rushed to St.
Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where an emergency operation was performed and he
is now reported as gaining nicely, but is still in the hospital.
