Sullivan, Marie (7 April 1918 - 22 April 1972)
Funeral services for Mrs. Truman (Marie) Sullivan, 54, of Jackson, who died
April 19 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Milwaukee, were held Saturday, April 22,
at 3:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Gene Carlson of Loyal
officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Sullivan, the daughter of Ira and Mattie (Pierce) Markham, was born April
7, 1918, in Eau Claire County and was educated in Fairchild and in Granton
schools. Before her marriage, which took place October 12, 1940, at Neillsville,
Mrs. Sullivan worked in Milwaukee. She moved back to Milwaukee and lived in that
area up to the time of her death.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Rodney J. Sullivan of
Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. Victor (Ina) Anderson of Chili and Mrs. Henry (Mable)
Knoll of Granton; and two brothers, Nathan Markham of Phoenix. Az, and Earl
Markham of Stanley.
Pallbearers were: Henry Knoll, Jr., Dennis Markham, Robert Geldernick, Jerry
Sullivan, David Sullivan and Norman Van Haden. Mrs. James Musil was the
organist.
