Anderson, Janice Mae (Marriage - 6 May 1972)
Miss Janice Mae Anderson became the bride of Allen Eugene Arndt Saturday, May 6,
in a 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony performed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in
Withee by the Rev. Arthur Hellert. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Anderson of Rt. 2 Withee
are the parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Arndt
of Rt. 1 Owen.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of Alencon lave and
taffeta styled with a stand-up collar, long sleeves, a dropped waistline and a
bouffant skirt. Her matching lace and tulle veil was trimmed with rose appliqué
and held by a pearl crown. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses.
Diane Anderson was the bride’s honor attendant. Bridesmaid was Kathy Anderson.
The attendants’ high- wasted gowns were fashioned of pink bonded crepe and
accented with lace-trimmed bodices and lace sleeves. They carried bouquets of
pink and white carnations.
Ronald Anderson served as bestman. Groomsman was Donald Arndt. Ushers were Billy
Anderson and Terry Arndt.
A reception for 200 guests was held in the church dining hall. Among those
attending the wedding from out of town were the groom’s grandparents, Mr and
Mrs. Virgil Oats of Marshfield.
The bride is a 1970 graduate of Owen-Withee High School. The groom graduated
from Owen-Withee High School in 1969 and from Eau Claire technical in statute in
1971. He is employed by a Longwood firm. The newlyweds will live on Rt. 2
Withee.
