Ernest Rekow and daughter Elsie, Jim Watson and Reuben Schultz were dinner guests at the F.F. Schultz home.

Mrs. Alfred Castner returned to her home at Loyal Wednesday, after caring for the new baby at the Jos. Esselman home.

Miss Eula Mae White spent Thursday night with her cousin, Lola Mae Swieso.

Miss Marjorie Haley, supervising teacher, and Mr. Neverman of Neillsville called at the Lyon School Friday.

Herman Esselman and family of Athens and Roscoe Starkey of Colby were Sunday visitors at the C.B. Esselman home.

Gordon Hannah spent the weekend at the home of his uncle, Milton Hawley.

The following ladies called on Mrs. Wm. Hammer since she returned from the Neillsville Hospital: Mrs. H. White, Mrs. M. Hawley, Mrs. W. Swieso and Miss Mae Becker.

Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hawley and son Wilbur and Gordon Hannah spent Sunday at the home of the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Knoll of Heathville, and helped Mr. Knoll celebrate his birthday.

Lola Mae and Vernard Swieso called on Billie Hammer Saturday. We are glad to report Billie much improved since his serious illness.

Miss Irene Killion of Greenwood, who is taking a course at Neillsville training school, is spending two weeks as practice teacher at the Lyon School.

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Henseler and daughter of Loyal visited at the J. Henseler Sr. home Saturday.

Mr. Rueben and Alex Loos, who are employed at the F. Schultz and C.B. Esselman homes, respectively, spent Sunday with home folks.

Our vicinity was well represented at Loyal Saturday, it being caucus.

A number of the men of our street were busy Thursday shoveling out snowdrifts, so that the roads are passable for cars once more.
