Pleasant Ridge (25 May 1972)
Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Howard were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zieroth and
three sons of
Waconia, Mn, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Reynolds of Hollandale. Mr. and Mrs. Alva
Howard of Milwaukee stopped for a visit Satruday afternoon.
Mrs. Jane Knoff of Cleveland, O, spent a weekend at the home of her parent s,
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Vine, and attended the wedding of a college friend in
Menomonie. Ginny Vine, a student in Madison, also spent the weekend at home.
The Pleasant Ridge homemakers club met last week Wednesday afternoon at the home
of Mrs. Clarion Counsell. Mrs. Irving Vine presented the project dealing with
alcohol and its effect on the brain.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rowe entertained her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Vine and
family, for super recently.
Mrs. Gordon Vine, Town of Grant Cancer Crusade chairman, announces that township
residents have contributed nearly $190 to the annual fund drive.
Mrs. Vine was assisted by Mrs. Harry Kissling, Mrs. William Cook, Mrs. Glenn
Short, Mrs. George Kuehn, Mrs. Laverne Schmitt, Mrs. Dave Hillert, Mrs. Larry
White, Mrs. Glenn Hainz, Mrs. Bill Vine, Mrs. Charles Counsell, Mrs. Bob Marty
and Mrs. Lamoine Anason.
