Miss Lois Moberg, route 3, Greenwood and James Becker, route 1, Greenwood,
exchanged wedding vows at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, on Saturday, May
11.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Elery Moberg, route 3, Greenwood and Mr.
and Mrs. Delbert Becker, route 1, Greenwood.
The Rev. Norbert King performed the ceremony at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.
St. Anthony's Church choir provided the music.
The bride was given in marriage by her father choose a full bouffant gown with
watteau train of silk bombazine and lace. It was trimmed with hand sewn sequins
and pearls. Her crystal borealis crown held a elbow length veil. The ride's
bouquet consisted of pnk roses, stephanotis and ivy.
Miss Ardis Moberg, Greenwood, twin sister of the bride, was the maid of honor;
Miss Julie Brenner, Thorp and Mrs. Nathan (June) Noeldner, Loyal were the
bridesmaids. The Junior bridesmaids were Charmaine Horswill. Wisconsin Rapids
and Dawn Klapatauskas, Withee.
The aides were seen in rainbow colored floor length lace cages. They each
carried daisy and carnation bouquets.
Jerome Becker, Greenwood, twin brother of the groom, was the best man. Arnold
Becker, Greenwood and Nathan Noeldner, loyal, were the groomsmen.
Ushering the guests were James Horswill, Wisconsin Rapids and Alan Becker,
Loyal.
Wedding day events included a reception at the American Legion Hall in
Greenwood; a supper at St. Anthony's dining hall for 190 guests. A dance was
held that evening at the Silver Dome.
The bride is a 196 graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed at Thorp
Finance Corporation, Thorp. The groom is a 1963 graduate of Loyal High School
and farms.
After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls the couple will reside on route 1,
Greenwood.
