Wesenberg, Evelyn D. (Marriage - 20 May 1972)
Evelyn D. Wesenberg and Orval J. “Ole” Sage, both of Rt. 2 Neillsville,
exchanged wedding vows Saturday, May 20, at 3 p.m. in St. John’s Evangelical
Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated at the private,
single-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Minnie Tyloch and the
late Isidor Tyloch. The groom is the son of Mrs. Ethel Sage and the late James
P. Sage.
For her marriage, the bride chose a gown of White flowered nylon, over satin
fashioned with a long, white satin sash. Her fingertip veil was held by a rose
headpiece. She carried a single, long-stemmed red rose.
Mrs. James Mohr was the matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Mrs. Helen Sage of
Horicon. The attendants wore street-length dresses of white and purple,
respectively, accented by white-veiled flower headpieces. Each carried a single,
long-stemmed red rose.
The groom’s brothers, Charles Sage of Slinger and Willis “Pete” Sage of Horicon,
served respectively as best man and groomsman.
A reception was held at the home of the groom’s mother. The newlyweds will live
on the family farm located on Rt. 2 Neillsville.
