Malnar, Rev. Matthew G. (Chaplain USAF - 1972)
The Rev. Matthew G. Malnar, presently principal of St. James school and
associate pastor of St. James Church, Eau Claire, has been commissioned a
captain in the United States Air Force and will enter the chaplains’ school at
Maxwell AFB, Montgomery, Al, June 26.
Father Malnar is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Malnar of Greenwood and a brother
of Mrs. Mike Krultz, Jr., of Neillsville. He is slated to graduate July 28,
after which he will assume a chaplaincy post at Chanute AFB, Il.
Prior to his Eau Claire appointments, the Rev. Fr. Malnar worked with military
personnel at the Amarillo AFB, Amarillo, Tx, and also served in the capacities
of administrator, assistant, high school teacher, hospital chaplain, and Newman
club chaplain.
