Neillsville (14 May 2014)
Chet and Judith Williams, Oak Creek, and friends, were visitors to the business
founded by Judith’s father, the late Earl Bruhn. Earl Bruhn and Martin
Feuerstein co-founded B& F Machine Shop 85 years ago. The group were guests of
Bob Venne, current owner of the business for the past 30 years. Mr. Venne
entertained the guests with a complete tour, as well as anecdotes and stories of
the good old days. Judith was glad to see the business humming with activity.
Although much of the machinery has been replaced with newer equipment, there
were still a few traces of the old days. As keeper of the history, Bob is always
happy to give tours to relatives or old employees and tries to fill in a few
missing blanks whenever he gets the chance.
