White gladiolas decorated St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Curtiss for the wedding
of Miss Bunee Marlene Kraut, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Kraut, Curtiss
(Clark Co., Wis.) and Mr. Albert Emil Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert A.
Schultz of Curtiss.
The Rev. R.L. Tellock officiated at the ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13,
1966, with Mr. Kraut giving his daughter in marriage. After the seating of the
mothers, a solo, "We'll Walk with God," was sung by the bride before the wedding
party began the processional walk down the aisle. Mrs. Tovio Kallio provide
nuptial music and Mrs. Jeffery Mathewson sang "The Wedding Prayer" and "The
Lord's Prayer."
The bride wore a floor length gown of nylon sheer over taffeta with bateau
neckline. Chantilly lace accented the fitted bodice and sequins trimmed the lace
down the front of the sheath skirt. The long full train was attached at the
waistline. Fingertip illusion veil was secured to a crown of aurora borealis
crystals. The bridal bouquet was an arrangement of red roses with small red tea
roses hanging down on a white ribbon.
Bouquets of pink roses on lemon leaves accented the white satin gowns worn by
the bride's attendants, Miss Mary Vorland, Colby, Made of honor, and the
bridesmaids, Miss Joyce Pagel, New Holstein, and Miss Diane Schultz, Curtiss.
The fesses were detailed with rounded neckline and floor length belled skirts.
They each wore a crown of aurora borealis crystals.
Mr. Leroy Schultz, Stevens Point,w as the best man, and Mrs. David Schultz, La
Fayette, Ind., and Mr. Jerome Kasper, Fond du Lac, served as groomsmen. Mr.
Richard Bentley, Madison and Mr. Gerald Klessig, Mankato, Minn., were ushers.
A wedding reception was held at the Curtiss Municipal Hall after the wedding and
dinner was served at the church. In the evening a dance was held at the
Dorchester Memorial Hall.
After a wedding trip through the western states, the couple will make their home
in Thorp, where the groom is an Agriculture Instructor at Thorp High School.
