Allen, Charles (11 September 1880 - 21 June 1968)
Gerald Brasier received word today (Wednesday) of the death of his uncle,
Charles N. Allen of Eugene Oregon
Services were held Tuesday, June 25, at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church
in Eugene. He passed away June 21.
Mr. Allen was born September 11, 1880 in Loyal and in 1909 moved to Eugene and
resided there since.
He was a postal employee for most of his life. He carried mail and passengers on
the Blue River Stage in 1918. In 1919 Mr. Allen became the seventh letter
carrier hired in the city of Eugene.
Besides his wife, Margaret, he is survived by a son, James Allen, Pendleton, two
grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
