Zepplin, Alana (29 June 1968)
Route 1, Box 265, Chippewa Falls, will be the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Olsen
following a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin.
Wedding vows were repeated Saturday, June 29, at 12:30 p.m. at Zion United
Methodist Church, Marshfield, by Alana Jean Zepplin and James Allen Olsen. The
Rev. Paul Doering officiated.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Bryon Zepplin, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur Olsen, route 1, Loyal.
Paul Nixdorf, Abbotsford was the organist and Mrs. Lee Parbel and Mrs. Charles
Roehrborn sang appropriate vocal duets. Large varigated bouquets of mixed
flowers adorned the altar.
The bride chose for her wedding a floor length cage of old-fashioned lace,
covering an ice blue gown of slipper satin with matching chapel-length train. A
flower of crystals secured a veil of cloudy tulle. She carried a colonial
bouquet of mixed flowers with a cascade of colored ribbons.
Miss Andrea Zepplin, sister od the bride, was the maid of honor. Mrs. Dennis
Olson, Loyal and Mrs. David Fricke, Milwaukee, were bridesmatrons.
The aides were attired in aqua, yellow and green, respectively and carried white
lace fans with matching colored mums. The gowns were floor-length crepe and
chiffon with jeweled manderin collars and floating panels.
Clayton B. Kattre, Abbotsford, served as best man and Donald R. Olson, Loyal and
David O. Fricke, Milwaukee, were the groomsmen.
Randall Budahn, Stratford and James Lauenstein, Milwaukee ushered the guests.
A reception was held at the Spencer Municipal Hall in the afternoon and Miss Jo
Hium and Miss Nancy Myre poured. Miss Sharon Schultz was in charge of the guest
book.
A 8:30 p.m. dinner was served at the Star Lounge Motel in Loyal for the bridal
party and immediate families.
The bride is a 1965 graduate of Loyal High School and now attends Eau Claire
State University and is employed in the office of Student Personnel at the
University.
The groom is a 1966 graduate Loyal High School and attends the same University.
He is employed by the Dept. of Buildings and Grounds at the University.
